ALLIANCES

The Ohio Cultural Alliance will celebrate its 25th year Sept. 11 with a luncheon at Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave., Youngstown. “Resonating Voices of the Valley” is the theme this year, and Butler docent Richard Lander, in period attire, will depict the life and time of Joseph G. Butler, museum founder. The meal will be catered by AVI Catering. Alliance memberships, which run from September through June 2012, will continue at $25 per person, and the cost for each meeting will be $15 for each paid-up member and $20 for each nonmember. Memberships and luncheon reservations may be mailed to OCA, PO Box 561, Canfield 44406-0561 no later than Sept. 6. Those attending are encouraged to take canned goods or nonperishables for the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen.

ASSOCIATIONS

The Mill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will meet Sept. 13 at A La Cart in Canfield. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a dinner of swiss steak, twice-baked potato, green beans, salad and apple dumpling. The meal, which costs $16, will be a sit-down dinner. The chapter and two others in the area will sponsor the annual ABWA Style Show on Sept. 25 at Mr. Anthony’s. A flat screen TV will be raffled off, among other featured activities. CLASSES

Chaney 1942 January and June alumni will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s in Austintown. All classmates, spouses and friends are welcome. No reservations are necessary.

CLUBS

Greenford Ruritan Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Ruritan Building at the Canfield Fairgrounds. There will also be a Work Day at the Ruritan Building at 9 a.m. Saturday in preparation for the Canfield Fair. All members are urged to help at the Work Day.

Warren Republican Women’s Club is kicking off its 75th anniversary season. A picnic is planned for noon Thursday. Republican candidates in the November election will be honored guests. DARE Singles Group is a social group for divorced, widowed and separated people. SUPPORT GROUPS

Nar-Anon Family Group, which helps those who have a relative or friend who is an addict, will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 5211 Mahoning Ave., Suite 300, Austintown.
