Two men wearing band-annas robbed Ginettiā€™s Party Shop on East Midlothian Boulevard at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

A store employee told police the two, who robbed her at knifepoint, fled west on Midlothian. Police searched the area.

The robbers stole money and cigarettes, police said.

Taylor to visit

Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor will visit City Machine Technologies on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Youngstown at 11 a.m. today. Taylor will discuss the federal health-care law and regulatory reform with company officials and invited guests.

Stones hit vehicles

Police are advising people to be cautious on Southern Boulevard after rocks were thrown at cars driving on the road. Three people, including the driver of a Western Reserve Transit Authority bus, called police about 10 p.m. Wednesday reporting their cars had been hit with stones while they were on Southern Boulevard, reports state.

The drivers were northbound on Southern Boulevard, just north of Indianola Road. Officers said the first two drivers were not injured, but their vehicles were damaged. Police also said the WRTA bus had several passengers, but no one was injured in that case.

Grant awarded

VIENNA

The Trumbull County Emergency Management Agency has received a Emergency Operation Center (EOC) Grant Program allocation of $740,625 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency .

This is the first grant of this kind allocated to any county in Ohio, according to Trumbull EMA.

The purpose of the EOC grant is to improve emergency management and preparedness capabilities. According to Trumbull EMA, the money will be used to develop a new Emergency Management Office/Emergency Operation facility in the county.
