Operating hours increasing for Warren-Trumbull libraries

WARREN

Warren-Trumbull County Public Library will increase its service hours beginning Sept. 6 at most locations.

In September 2009, the library system cut its operating hours after a substantial reduction in state funding. Library Director James Wilkins said cost-saving measures combined with a more stable funding picture allow the library to now restore some of those hours.

The main library will open one hour earlier on weekdays and will gain evening hours Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The Brookfield, Cortland, Howland and Liberty branches will open on Mondays, and Howland also will gain several evening hours. All libraries are closed Sundays, and also will be closed Sept. 5 for the Labor Day holiday.

The library system also includes a Bookmobile and Homebound Library Service. For more information, call 330-399-8807 or visit www.wtcpl.org.
