Popoviches celebrate 50th with family trip

Paul and Elaine Popovich of Boardman marked their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends during a vacation in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Aug. 5-13.

The couple have four children, Mike (Sissy) Popovich of Bartlette, Ill.; Lynn (Alan) Koporc of Austin, Texas; Dave (Ariadne) Popovich of Taylor, Texas; and Judy (Rocky) Nittoli of Poland; and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Popovich and the former Elaine Hoffer were married Aug. 19, 1961, at St. Patrick Church, Youngstown. Mrs. Popovich is retired from Mahoning County Department of Jobs and Family Services, where she was a caseworker. Mr. Popovich, an Air Force veteran, is retired from LTV Steel.

They are members of St. Charles Church.
