MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance. Transportation is available for those 60 or older; call 330-884-2511 to set up. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Aug. 24: Breaded fish, sweet potatoes, broccoli, mandarin oranges, bread and milk.

Thursday, Aug. 25: Barbecued chicken strip, winter blend, sliced carrots, unsweetened pears, bread, brownie or sugar-free cookie and milk.

Friday, Aug. 26: Lasagna stacker, spinach, yellow squash, applesauce, fat-free banana muffin, grape juice and milk.

Saturday, Aug. 27: Chicken breast, romaine salad, black beans and corn, banana, bun, orange or sugar-free cookie and milk.

Monday, Aug. 29: Macaroni and cheese, green beans, carrots, unsweetened fruit, bread, fig bar or sugar-free cookie and milk.

Tuesday, Aug. 30: Beef patty, baked potato, green peas, pineapple tidbits, bread, gelatin and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.

Wednesday, Aug. 24: Sites closed for annual Volunteer Recognition.

Thursday, Aug. 25: Teriyaki chicken, au gratin potatoes, oriental mixed vegetables, bread with margarine, fruit mix and milk.

Friday, Aug. 26: Ham with pineapple, mashed yams, creamed corn, wheat bread with margarine, diced peaches and milk.

Monday, Aug. 29: Cheese omelet, sausage patty, seasoned potatoes, applesauce, blueberry muffin, orange and milk.

Tuesday, Aug. 30: Johnny Marzetti, cauliflower, lima beans, white bread with margarine, fruit mix and milk.
