The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s mobile-outreach center will visit the Youngstown unit of the NAACP on Friday to accept complaints of employment discrimination based on race, religion, sex, national origin, age (40 and older), disability or retaliation.
Filings are by appointment only at the local unit of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Suite 721 in the PNC Bank Building, downtown.

Church tours
Youngstown
St. Patrick Church will be open today for public tours as a part of its centennial celebration. The church, at 1420 Oak Hill Ave., will open its door for tours at 1 p.m.
Summit Academy, the former St. Patrick School, will have an open house at the same time, where Principal Ray Pallante will be on hand for tours and questions.
Ride for the Red
SHARPSVILLE, PA.
The Mercer County American Red Cross’ sixth annual Ride for the Red is next Sunday beginning at the Clark House, 3590 Valley View Road, Clark, Pa. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., and the last bike must leave by 12:30 p.m. To register, call 724-962-9180. The cost is $15 for a single rider and $25 for a double rider. The registration fee includes a dinner starting at 5 p.m. as well as the raffle tickets distributed at each stop.
All riders will receive a road map, and the first 100 who register will receive a free T-shirt. The ride raises financial support for the local disaster-relief efforts of the Red Cross. For more information on how to get involved or donate, visit RedCrossMercer.org.
