Kavinsky children mark parents’ 50th anniversary

Joseph and Betty Kavinsky were honored with a 50th wedding-anniversary dinner Saturday evening at Dona Vito’s Italian Grille in Struthers.

The celebration was hosted by their children, Leanna and Tim O’Bryan of Campbell, Chris and Megan Kavinsky of Columbus and Joe and Jeanne Kavinsky of Cincinnati. Six grandchildren complete their family.

Mr. Kavinsky and the former Betty Kopnicky were married Aug. 19, 1961, at St. John the Baptist Church in Campbell. She retired in May 2000 as head teller at National City Bank in Campbell.

Mr. Kavinsky retired in September 2000 from General Motors, Lordstown. He was an Army specialist 3rd class in the Korean War, and belongs to UAW Local 1112 and Youngstown Hot Rod Auto Club.
