Angels of Easter Seals to launch new cookbook

The Angels of Easter Seals invites the public to attend an evening of epicurean delights at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Lake Club in Poland. The event will launch the group’s newest cookbook, “Angels and Friends Favorite Recipes Volume III,” and will feature dishes from the new book.

The new volume will be on sale at the event, as will the Angels’ other cookbooks.

The new cookbook has been dedicated to Mary Rossi, one of the 11 charter members of Angels for Easter Seals, which was founded in 1977. Rossi, a devoted Angel and inspiring leader, also served as cookbook chairwoman for more than 25 years. She combined her passion for cooking with her dedication to Easter Seals into the creation and successful publication of three cookbooks: “Angels & Friends Favorite Recipes, Volumes I and II” and “Party Favorites.”

The cookbook’s launch is sponsored by the Muransky Companies and the Angels of Easter Seals. Chairwomen for the event are Jacie Ridel and Mary Celeste VanSickle. Mary Rossi is honorary chairwoman. The group’s president is Carol O’Neill.

Dinner music will be performed by Diane Yazvac, an instructor of piano at the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University. Reservations are limited to 250 people. Cost for the event is $35 per person, and there is a cash bar.

Upcoming events for the Angels of Easter Seals includes the 25th annual Magic of Angels Christmas on Nov. 19 and a Holiday Brunch and Sweet Shoppe on Dec. 7. All proceeds from those events benefit the Easter Seals Center of Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties.
