ERIE, Pa.

Erie Coke Corp. and the federal Environmental Protection Agency have filed a tentative settlement to pollution litigation.

Erie Coke settled related litigation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection by agreeing last year to pay a $6.1 million fine and make $15 million in improvements to reduce emissions.

The Erie Times-News reported on a new U.S. District Court filing known as a consent decree.
