For the month of July, Blazed and Bedazzled Pottery Studio aimed to entertain with art and offer fun for all ages.

On July 15, the studio hosted a Family Night and welcomed parents and kids to decorate blank pottery using glaze paint and their own creativity.

Olivia Mehin, a frequent young guest to the studio, painted a rainforest tree frog during the event.

“I come here all the time. I like to think up crazy ideas and decorate lots of different pieces,” she shared.

“We work very hard to make sure that our community events are fun for everyone. Working with the pottery is a great canvas for anyone’s creativity, and we have pieces to glaze that will meet anyone’s budget,” shared Blazed and Bedazzled co-owner Debbie Schiffhauer.

Schiffhauer was also on hand for another Blazed and Bedazzled community event on July 21, where wine, cheese and snacks were served for a grown-up Ladies Night celebration.

Boardman native Christine Baglama visited the store for the first time that day.

“Painting the pottery is very fun and surprisingly therapeutic. I think I’ve found a new hobby,” Baglama said as she painted.

Marty Chandler, who lives in Poland, is a long-time fan of Blazed and Bedazzled, and brings new friends with her when she attends Ladies Nights.

“I’ve been a visitor since the studio opened. I invite my friends because you don’t have to be a master artist here; you just have to have fun with it,” she shared.
