Youngstown schools’ academic ranking improves


YOUNGSTOWN — Preliminary data shows Youngstown City Schools improved one ranking on the state report card.

Officials scores will be released next week by the Ohio Department of Education. They are expected to show that Youngstown improved from academic emergency to academic watch. The district had languished at academic emergency, the lowest state rating, for two years.
