OVI checkpoint on U.S. 62 in Goshen tonight


GOSHEN

The Ohio State Highway Patrol will hold a checkpoint from 9 p.m. to midnight tonight on US Route 62 in Mahoning County west of state Route 45 in Goshen Township.

The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

The checkpoint will be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to further combat impaired driving as well as alcohol related injury and fatal crashes. The Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office, Salem City, Perry Township, Sebring Village, Smith Township and Goshen Township Police departments will participate in the saturation patrols.
