Boyfriend charged in pregnant woman’s death

MANHEIM, Pa. (AP) — The boyfriend of a pregnant central Pennsylvania woman fatally shot last week has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide.

State police say 22-year-old Matthew Becker was taken into custody Thursday. He’s accused of shooting 21-year-old Allison Walsh in the head at a home in Rapho Township, Lancaster County.

Walsh was seven months pregnant and efforts to save the unborn child were unsuccessful.

Becker was held without bail late Thursday on charges of criminal homicide and criminal homicide of an unborn child. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Authorities planned to discuss the killing at a news conference later today.
