Man shot on city’s South side

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances that landed a 20-year-old Campbell man in the hospital with a gunshot wound in his left leg. Police arrived at the Coconut Grove, 3229 South Ave., at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday after reports of gunfire. Records state that officers were greeted by a hostile crowd, and individuals in the crowd said about 10 rounds from two different types of guns were fired from the corner of Lucius and Detroit avenues. The injured man was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center where he was listed in stable condition.
