YSU grad describes journey from grief
In “Losing Ground,” Struthers-born Lorraine Carey describes her long journey from a self-described “path of destruction” to a spiritual awakening guided by visions, angels, ghosts, other worldly messages and a series of losses and tragedy.
Carey graduated from Youngstown State University in 1976 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and language arts, and after marriage, taught in the four states where her husband’s job led them while raising two daughters. Eventually both she and her husband lost their jobs and began to undertake the path from grief and despair to “mysteriously being led to live on the beautiful Grand Cayman island in the Caribbean.”
“Losing Ground” takes the reader through this intuitive’s development from a “normal” small-town life into the paranormal realms.
It’s available online at Barnes & Noble and Amazon, from $9.99 to $14.99, plus shipping and handling.
