Rick Taylor and Max Angelelli won the fastest race in Grand-Am Rolex Series history, averaging 122.308 mph in the Canadian Tire 200 on Saturday at Watkins Glen International
Taylor and Angelelli, co-drivers of the No. 10 SunTrust Racing Chevrolet/Dallara in the Daytona Prototype class, completed a sweep of the season’s two Rolex Series races at Watkins Glen with the victory in the 2-hour event. They also won the 6-hour race in June.
Taylor put the No. 10 on the pole for the sixth consecutive race, one short of the series’ record for consecutive DP poles. He started the race and Angelelli finished it, holding off Scott Pruett by 2.517 seconds.
