At showcase, vendors can sell products

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s 13th annual Business Showcase event will this year allow vendors to sell their products for the first time.

The event, which the chamber says is the largest trade show between Pittsburgh and Cleveland, will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 22 at Mr. Anthony’s, 7440 South Ave.

All vendors intending to sell at the event must have proper licensing.

Only packaged food may be sold.

Last year, more than 100 businesses attended the showcase.

Zinz reopens, has a new showroom

Zinz Design & Selection Center recently reopened for business at 6487 Mahoning Ave.

The business, which for 60 years had been known as Zinz Floor Covering Inc., has a new showroom and expanded products and services in the areas of flooring, cabinets, countertops, kitchen, bath and home remodeling.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Manufacturing summit scheduled

ROOTSTOWN

The Northeast Ohio Summit on the Revitalization of Manufacturing will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy Conference Center, 4209 state Route 44.

Regional and national experts will discuss manufacturing strategy, tax reform and energy.

U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-17th, and U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson of Marietta, R-6th, are event co-chair-men.

Conservation event to feature 5 clinics

This year’s Agriculture-Natural Resources-Conservation Expo, which brings together soil and conservation districts from Mahoning, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, Stark and Carroll counties, will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 10 at Kenwood Farm, 4071 Meter Road NE in Mechanicstown.

The event features five clinics — pond construction and management, timber harvest, raised gardens, beekeeping and pasture poultry.
