Greenwood Chevrolet’s 16th Annual Golf Outing event was held on July 3rd at Bedford Trails Golf Course in Lowellville. The proceeds from this year’s event were for the “No Stone Unturned Foundation.”
Total of 20 teams/78 golfers in a four person scramble entered in this event. There was a raffle for various golf items and a Chinese auction totaling 21 gifts from local business partners, employees and friends.
The “No Stone Unturned Foundation” was established by YSU Head Football Coach Eric Wolford and his wife, Dr. Melinda Wolford, who was inspired by their son Stone who was, diagnosed at 2 years of age with Cardio-Facio- Cutaneous (CFC Syndrome) a rare genetic syndrome affecting around 300 children worldwide.
The foundation seeks to support research in children’s health initiatives and to serve families as they seek to navigate through medical and school systems to advocate for and obtain treatment for the children.
No Stone Unturned is reaching out to families across the nation as well as seeking points of intersection to support exiting community services for the parents in the tri-county area.
A check of $2,838 was presented to Eric and Melinda Wolford on behalf of the “No Stone Unturned Foundation.”
