U.S. marshals arrested two men Friday in connection with a July robbery on Lockwood Boulevard.
Marcus L. Yager, 24, of Warren, is charged with robbery and Christopher M. Stevens, 23, of Youngstown, is charged with complicity to robbery.
Police said a 22-year-old woman was robbed about 11:20 p.m. July 28. The woman told police she parked her car in the front driveway of a residence and was walking to the door when she heard footsteps behind her, according to reports.
She said she turned, and a man attempted to punch her and she fell backwards, dropping her keys and purse, officers said. Reports state the man then grabbed her purse and tried to flee, but the woman also reached for the purse and the two struggled over it before the suspect tore it away from her.
The woman told police her purse contained her phone, credit cards and a cash deposit.
A police dog arrived on the scene to track the suspect and followed the scent to Hopkins Road.
