Empowerment Fair for women, families

YOUNGSTOWN

The YWCA of Youngstown is sponsoring an Empowerment Fair for women and their families from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at the YW, 25 W. Rayen Ave.

The event will open with speaker training by hard-hatted women who will teach how to use your personal experience to empower other women to pursue careers in which women are still underrepresented. Mammogram screenings will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., but registration is required. Call 330-746-6361 for an appointment. Keynote speaker Cynthia Carter will talk about “Choosing a Pathway of Opportunities” at 10 a.m., and a demonstration on safety risks and hidden dangers in your home will be presented at 11 a.m.
