CANFIELD
July 29
Warrant: Police arrested Shawn Paulin, 32, of 6064 State Route 170, East Palestine, on a Mayor’s Court warrant and then he was taken to Columbiana on a warrant from that city.
July 30
Criminal damaging: A mailbox was reported damaged in the 400 block of Shadydale Drive.
Aug. 2
Drug charge: Police arrested Michael Coffey, 21, of 2822 E. New York St., Indianapolis, and Heather Shoffner, 31, of 717 E. Morris St., Indianapolis, on one count each of illegal assembly or possession of chemicals to manufacture drugs.
Aug. 3
Warrant: Police arrested David Clark, 62, of 8803 N. Palmyra Road, on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Aug. 1
Warrant: Police arrested Jason Herman, 37, of 2034 Penny Lane on a warrant for menacing.
Theft: Money was stolen using a debit card at Home Savings and Loan, 4254 Kirk Road.
Aggravated robbery: A man was knocked down by a robber and his money taken at a home in the 4000 block of Stark Drive.
Theft: A bicycle was stolen at an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.
Auto theft: A 2003 Lincoln Town Car was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of County Line Road.
Theft: Drugs were stolen from an auto at Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Ave.
Fraud: Charges were made to a Visa card from a person at a home in the 100 block of South Main Street.
Warrant: Police arrested Richard Vickers, 26, of 6825 Ruby Court on a warrant for theft by deception.
Burglary: A 42-inch television was stolen from an apartment in the 400 block of Wilcox Road.
Aug. 2
Aggravated burglary: Money was stolen from a purse in a home in the 4000 block of Westwood Avenue.
Theft: A Bluetooth portable DVD player and tuner faceplate were taken from an auto at a home in the 100 block of N. Beverly Ave.
Fraud: A victim was sent a check from someone claiming to be a missionary to deposit and send a check to the mission at a home in the 80 block of N. Main St.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Forgery: A name was forged on a student loan application at a home in the 4000 block of Walnut Trace.
Theft: A checkbook, phone chargers and an MP3 docking station were taken from a home in the 200 block of Idlewood Road.
Theft: A 1993 Koehring-Bantam excavator in poor condition was stolen from Sears Hardware, Interstate Blvd.
Criminal mischief: Nails were found on a driveway at a home in the 300 block of Forest Hill Ave.
Breaking and entering: An unattached garage was entered and items were stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 4000 block of Rita Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: A female was threatened on Facebook at a home in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 6000 block of Ridgeview Lane.
Theft: Police arrested Diane Fisher, no address given, on a theft charge at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A credit card and pills were stolen from an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West.
Recovered property: A Visa debit card was recovered by police.
Theft: A cellphone was stolen at Kmart.
Aug. 4
Breaking and entering: Copper pipe was taken from a vacant home in the 900 block of Kirwan Drive.
Criminal damaging: Damage was reported to a vehicle at a home in the 30 block of North Roanoke Avenue.
Warrant: Police arrested Paul Smith, 27, of 506 Park Ave., Apt. 37, Girard, on a warrant for burglary.
Criminal damaging: A sliding door window was damaged at a home in the 5000 block of Colgate Drive.
Telecommunications harassment: The crime was reported at an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West.
Aggravated robbery: A man who was a patron at the Babylon, 114 Javit Court, reported he had money and his cellphone stolen by two men who hit him in the head with a beer bottle and kicked him when he fell.
Drug offense: Police charged Christopher Esposito, 31, of 414 E. Kline St., with possession of marijuana after his arrest at the Beach Shack, 5516 W. Webb Road.
Aug. 5
Telephone harassment: Harassment was reported at a home in the 200 block of South Navarre Avenue.
Theft: A man stole lotion at Walgreens, 40 N. Meridian Road.
Theft: Two men reportedly stole Xanax pills from a victim in the 800 block of Compass West.
Felonious assault: A victim was assaulted by a suspect using brass knuckles in the 1000 block of Compass West.
Criminal damaging: A lamp post was damaged by a suspect with a baseball bat in the 200 block of South Main Street.
Aug. 6
Domestic violence: Police arrested June Stephenson, 59, of 3835 Mahoning Ave., on the charge.
Drug offense: Police charged Derek Squires, 23, of 52 Loughlin, Shirley, N.Y., with drug abuse of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after his arrest at the Go Go Cabaret, 5455 Clarkins Road.
Aug. 6
Warrant: Police arrested Mark Robbins, 35, of 1324 Humbolt St., Youngstown, on a warrant for probation violation.
Theft: A CB radio, a tie down and a credit card were stolen from an auto at the Super 8 Motel, 5280 Seventy-Six Drive.
Theft: A CB radio was stolen from another auto at the Super 8 Motel.
Criminal damaging: A mailbox was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Alderwood Drive.
Recovered property: A pair of shoes was returned to the owner at a home in the 4000 block of Nottingham Avenue.
Menacing: A 64-year-old male was menaced by another man at a home in the 3000 block of Rebecca Drive.
Theft: The air conditioning control box was stolen from two homes in the 5000 block of Argonne Drive.
Arrest: Police arrested Mark Kapsal, 68, of 3443 Bentwillow Court, Austintown for violation of the condition of his bond at a home in the 2000 block of South Inglewood Avenue.
Theft: A bicycle was stolen from a home in the 60 block of Roanoke Ave.
Lost or stolen wallet: A wallet was lost or stolen at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Aug. 7
Disorderly conduct: Police charged Kay Pounds, 23, of 3899 Cumberland Drive, Youngstown, with disorderly conduct after her arrest at Shotz, 3713 Oakwood Ave.
Assault: An assault was reported at Chippers Lounge, 5 N. Edgehill Ave.
Theft: The service disconnector, which is made of copper, was removed from about eight homes in the 5000 block of Argonne Drive.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s rear window was damaged at the Economy Inn, 1051 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Attempted theft: A window was smashed but nothing was missing from an auto in the 1000 block of Paisley St.
Theft: Police charged Jachole Toney, 21, of 109 Jean St., Campbell, with the theft of eight DVDs from Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: Vinyl siding on a home was damaged in the 1000 block of Countryside Drive.
Burglary: A burglary was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.
Assault: A female was assaulted by her boyfriend at a home in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was reported damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Claridge Drive.
Arrests: Police charged Brandy Renicker, 25, of 2858 Dunston Drive NW, Warren, with trespassing, and Amanda Fredenburg, 22, of 5000 S. Salem-Warren Road, North Jackson, with possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.

Harassment: A North Lima Road man reported having been a victim.
Aug. 5
Criminal damaging: A light fixture sustained damage in the 7900 block of Meadowbrooke Trail.
Criminal damaging: A 2001 Ford vehicle was found damaged in the 3400 block of Olde Winter Trail.
Criminal damaging: Someone damaged a landscaping border in the 8600 block of Raintree Run Trail.
Criminal damaging: A 1998 Pontiac Grand Am was damaged in the 8500 block of Four Seasons Trail.
Aug. 6
Damage: A car crashed into and damaged a metal security gate at Poland Township Park off Moore Road.
Arrest: Police arrested 51-year-old Kristina J. Kaiser, 10861 Rapp Road, New Middletown, after receiving a complaint regarding what appeared to be two intoxicated people in a vehicle at a Center Road business.
Criminal damaging: An outdoor light fixture was damaged in the 3000 block of Autumnwood Trail.
Aug. 7
Recovered property: Poland Township and Lowellville police recovered a recreational vehicle in the Mahoning River near the Pennsylvania line. The keys were in the ignition, and the investigation continued into who the owner was and how the vehicle got there.
BOARDMAN
Aug. 5
Theft: A man discovered $441 missing from his delivery truck at the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A wallet and $30 were taken from a car at the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Evonne Jackson, 48, of 110 N. Main St, Hubbard, was charged with stealing $134 worth of clothing from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a home in the 100 block of Island Drive, then unplugged a sump pump, causing flooding to the basement.
Arrest: Jedediah M. Thomas, 33, was arrested at his home, 6300 South Ave., Boardman, on a probation-violation charge from Struthers.
Aug. 6
Theft/criminal mischief: A woman returned to her Shields Road apartment and found it had been ransacked. Among items stolen were a DVD player, a birth certificate and a 16-inch oscillating fan.
Assault: Police broke up a fight between five people at a business in the 7300 block of South Avenue. One person was treated for injuries, including pain in his knees.
Theft/criminal damaging: A vehicle at the Southern Park Mall sustained a broken driver’s-side window, and a $145 global-positioning-system device was removed.
Arrest: A traffic stop on Glenwood Avenue resulted in the arrest of 60-year-old Ozie C. Curry, 1557 Hubbard Court, Youngstown, on a warrant charging him with contempt of court.
Criminal damaging: A key was used to damage the finish on a vehicle’s driver’s-side door in the 6700 block of Tippecanoe Road.
Harassment: A North Cadillac Drive man reported getting the latest in a series of threatening text messages.
Burglary: To a residence in the 5900 block of Parkland Avenue, from which three envelopes containing money were taken.
Arrest: Acting on a tip, police arrested 45-year-old Christopher H. Childs at his residence, 5306 Youngstown-Poland Road, Boardman, on charges of resisting arrest and obstructing official business. Childs had led officers on a foot chase during a traffic stop, a report showed.
Aug. 7
Drugs: Police responded to a possible domestic situation at a Beechwood Drive home, where 42-year-old Robert A. Majoros Jr., 180 Beechwood, faced two drug charges after police said a spoon, a syringe and a cotton ball associated with heroin use were found. Majoros also was charged with aggravated menacing when, authorities said, a review of a 911 call showed he had threatened to kill officers when they arrived.
Domestic violence: Michael E. Hardy, 25, was taken into custody at his residence, 7042 Paxton Road, Boardman, and charged with the crime after Hardy’s girlfriend alleged he had shoved her during an argument.
Breaking and entering: A large rock was used to smash a side window before someone broke into Sleepy Hollow Sleep Shop, 4931 Market St., and removed a small box with an undisclosed amount of money.
Aggravated menacing: A man leaving a Simon Road business told police another man got out of a vehicle and threatened to shoot the accuser in the head.
Theft: Carmine Sammartino Jr., 28, of 3001 Julian St., Youngstown, was charged in the theft of baseball cards from Kmart.
Theft: Police charged 20-year-old Shannon S. Scott, 193 W. Evergreen Ave., Youngstown, with stealing notebook paper from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: A woman noticed her purse missing from her car at a Doral Drive store.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 7000 block of Bristlewood Drive was found with a broken rear driver’s-side window. Damage came to $400.
Aug. 8
Arrest: Police arrested a 17-year-old township boy at the Southern Park Mall after learning he was wanted on pick-up orders from the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Department and the Mahoning County Juvenile Court. The teen also was charged with obstructing official business when, officers said, he refused to identify himself.
Weapon: Police pulled over a vehicle near Southern Boulevard, where 61-year-old Azer I. Suleiman, 1010 Fox Den Trail, Canfield, faced a felony count of carrying a concealed weapon. Suleiman had an empty handgun with no permit, a report said.
Theft: A man reported the theft of his 20-inch bicycle in the 600 block of East Midlothian Boulevard.
Criminal damaging: A car at the Southern Park Mall had a broken driver’s-side window.
Theft: A Youngstown boy, 17, was detained after a $30 wristwatch was stolen from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.
Breaking and entering: A lawn mower, a gas can and a car-battery charger were removed from a garage in the 300 block of Shields Road.
Assault: A Youngstown woman told officers that while at an apartment, possibly on Lemans Drive, two people punched her head and pulled her hair, and that one of the two shot the accuser in the left side of her stomach with a stun gun.
Theft/drugs: Police charged Raylin L. Blunt, 33, of 2006 Summer Ave., Youngstown, with theft, trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs, both felonies, as well as Marcus M. Menton, 23, of 331 W. Delason Ave., Youngstown, with theft and drug abuse after a $30 video disc had been stolen from Walmart. Menton threw away a cologne bottle, inside of which was a small bag of suspected cocaine; also found was a bag with several small bags of suspected marijuana and a bag containing several prescription pills, a report said.
Drug paraphernalia: Lucy G. McCarty, 21, of 220 Ridgewood Drive, Boardman, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop. Found was a torn-off cigarette filter with its paper removed in a way that’s consistent with heroin use, a report said.
Identity fraud: An elderly Harrington Avenue man reported that a collection agency claimed he owes $7,526 on an account he had never opened.
Burglary: To a garage in the 90 block of Buena Vista Avenue, from which a bicycle was removed.
Arrest: A vehicle check on South Avenue resulted in 55-year-old Lorenzo T. Brooks’ arrest. Brooks, of 3105 Regis St., Youngstown, was wanted on a felony probation-violation charge.
Aug. 9
Theft: Youngstown police handed 42-year-old Kevin E. Yuhas, 1790 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, to township authorities. Yuhas was wanted on a theft charge, accused of stealing $130 worth of food from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Burglary: Occurred in the 400 block of Mathews Road. Two TVs, a laptop computer, an Xbox system and numerous DVDs were stolen.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen at a Boardman-Poland Road business.
