Passenger traffic continues to increase at Pittsburgh International Airport

PITTSBURGH — Passenger traffic at Pittsburgh International Airport increased for the 15th consecutive month in June, according to the most recent statistics released by the Allegheny County Airport Authority.

The traffic rate rose 1.5 percent compared to June 2010, thanks in part to a larger flight Dallas-Ft. Worth flight and the addition of a daily flight to Paris.

Year-to-date passenger traffic is up 4.8 percent.

The authority also reminded travelers to arrive at least 90 minutes before scheduled departure times to help combat heavy summer passenger traffic.
