Ohio head-on crash kills 3
MENTOR, Ohio (AP) — Police say a car veered across the center line on a northeast Ohio road, resulting in a crash with an oncoming vehicle that killed three people.
Mentor Police Lt. Tim Allen tells The News-Herald of Willoughby that investigators believe a red Chevrolet Cobalt strayed into the path of the other car and hit it head-on late Wednesday night.
The newspaper reports the Cobalt’s driver and a passenger were killed, along with the other driver. Allen says no one else was in either vehicle.
All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene in Mentor, about 25 miles northeast of Cleveland.
Police are trying to determine what caused the crash.
