Mahoniing Valley home sales rose in July

YOUNGSTOWN — Home sales in the Mahoning Valley rose in July, according to statistics released today by the Youngstown-Columbiana Association of Realtors.

There were 171 homes sold in Mahoning County in July, up from 153 during the same month last year. In Trumbull County, home sales increased slightly, from 103 in July 2010 to 110 this July; in Columbiana Country, sales rose from 47 to 56.

In Mahoning County, the average home price rose from $92,146 to $102,254 this year; In Trumbull, the average jumped from $62,328 to $81,872. In Columbiana, the average selling price rose from $81,836 in July 2010 to $100,233 this July.
