“To Kill a Mockingbird,SDRq Aurora Community Theatre, 115 E. Pioneer Trail, Aurora. Auditions will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday for men and women. Script is available for review at Aurora Memorial Library, 115 E. Pioneer Trail. Rehearsals begin late August. Performances are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays Oct. 28- Nov. 19. “Shakespeare in Hollywood,SDRq Weathervane Playhouse, 1301 Weathervane Lane, Akron. Auditions planned at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Casting will be for one adult woman in age range of 40s to 60s, two adult women in 20s and 30s, one young man in late teens to early 20s and eight adult men, 20s to 60s. Auditions by appointment. “The Wizard of Oz,SDRq New Castle Playhouse, 202 E. Long Ave., New Castle, Pa. Auditions planned Aug. 21 and 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. for children 6 to 12 years old and adults, including Dorothy, from 7 to 8. Those auditioning should be prepared to present a one-minute vocal selection, preferably a Broadway or Disney show tune. “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do,SDRq Stage Left Players, Trinity Playhouse, 234 E. Lincoln Way, Lisbon. Auditions are 7 p.m. Aug. 23 for a cast of at least 16 with male and female adults and mature teens who sing, dance and act. The musical, featuring songs of Neil Sedaka, is slated for October performances. Directors are Kandy Cleland and Jodine Pilmer.
