Miss Battafarano to wed Mr. Surko in Oct. ceremony

Joseph A. Surko Jr. and Danielle R. Battafarano, both of Poland, are announcing their engagement and plans for an upcoming wedding.

Miss Battafarano is the daughter of Philip and Renee Battafarano of Boardman. Mr. Surko is the son of Joseph A. Surko Sr. of Youngstown and the late Maryann Surko.

The ceremony will be at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown. Invitations will be extended for a reception at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown.

The bride-elect graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree. She is employed as an assistant manager/bookkeeper at Stambaugh Auditorium.

The prospective groom graduated from the Western Reserve Institute Police Academy and is employed by the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department.
