WEDNESDAY

Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will have a drive-through dinner from 4 to 6 p.m., or until sold out. Place your order on the north side of the church and pick it up on the south side. Meals include stuffed chicken breast with gravy, baked potato with sour cream, green beans and a brownie for $6.

THURSDAY

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have a drive-through homemade chicken dinner from 4 to 6 p.m., or until sold out. Dinners include stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6. To order dinners call 330-549-2588 or 330-549-5106 for pickup at a time you give or by 5:15 p.m. Drive up to the door and a volunteer will bring the meal to your car.

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, is serving homemade Chinese lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays. This week’s menu will feature teriyaki chicken or oriental salad. The cost of the meal is $6. No reservations are necessary.

VFW Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will be the setting for a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread, and coffee or tea. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will serve a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Cost of the all-you-can-eat meal of pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee or tea is $5.

Southington American Legion Post 751 will have a fried fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the post, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, to benefit Cub Scout Pack 270 and Boy Scout Troop 70. The meal will include macaroni and cheese, green beans, coleslaw, beverage and dessert. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for children under 12.

SUNDAY

Simon Road Church of God, 4750 Simon Road, Boardman, is serving a Parmesan-crusted chicken dinner after the morning worship service. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children.

St. James Episcopal Church will have a cavatelli and meatball dinner, made by the original cooks from St. Rocco’s Episcopal Church, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The meal also will include tossed salad, Italian bread, beverage and dessert. Cost is $7 for adults; $3 for children; free for those under 5. Takeouts will be available.

UPCOMING

CY-ME Men’s Club of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, will host its annual corn roast at 6 p.m. Aug. 20. The meal includes corn on the cob, roasted chicken, tomato and cucumber salad, watermelon, coffee or pop and dessert. Cost is $10. Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be obtained from any club member or by calling the church office Monday or Wednesday at 330-743-5291 or Bert Wagner at 330-747-3777.
