Outdoors event planned at Beaver Creek State Park

Fish around with your kids: Bob Grable, head of Scenic Rivers of Ohio with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, shares a moment with a young boy attending a past Explore the Outdoors With Your Family event at Beaver Creek State Park, 10201 Echo Dell Road, East Liverpool. This year’s event will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, sponsored by Columbiana County Conservation Partners, the park and others. An array of activities for parents and children will be offered, including a helicopter landing, macro-invertebrate sampling, an artesian blacksmith, a rain-barrel display, fish electro-shocking, making pine cone feeders, face-painting, designing your own T-shirts, bow shooting, grain grinding, touch-and-feel boxes, drumming, emergency vehicles to explore and a hike.
