Wellses mark 68th anniversary


Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Wells of Largo, Fla., recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Becky and John Chmura in Lowellville.

Also hosting was their other daughter, Jerri Smith and her husband, Skip, of Poland.

The couple also raised a nephew, Ted (Jeanne) Kurz, and have 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Out-of-town relatives attending the event included two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Susan Wells and Duane and Alberta Wells; grandsons Justin Wells and his wife, Star, and Jason Wells, all of Largo; and Mrs. Wells’ sister, Kay Vass of Boca Raton, Fla.

Mr. Wells and the former Norma Williams were married July 28, 1943, at the Chapel of Friendly Bells in Youngstown.

Mr. Wells is a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, and both are retired from Prototype Plastics, a family business in Clearwater, Fla.
