Playhouse offers ‘Biloxi Blues’

Event will benefit mental disorders

The Jimmy Lee Project will hold a fundraiser for the Riverbend Center from 3-10 p.m. Saturday at B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave.
Coordinated by Krystina Boano, the event is being held in memory of James Lee Gruhlkey. After being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, the 24-year-old took his life March 2. Gruhlkey and Boano had booked the B&O Station for Aug. 13 for their wedding.
Riverbend Center is a local nonprofit organization that helps those suffering from mental disease.
The event will include bands, artists, food and merchandise vendors. Admission is $5 (free for children under 12), with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Riverbend Center. For information, go to facebook.com/thejimmyleeproject or email krystina.boano@ymail.com.
