Sollers celebrate 60th anniversary with patio party

Dr. Fred and Margaret (“Sis”) Soller of Boardman celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 16 during a patio party at the Medina home of daughter and son-in-law, Susan (Soller) and Jamie Terpay. Also hosting the event was their daughter Tod Soller Pennell of Kansas City, Mo.

Dr. Soller and the former Margaret Ruchhoft were married June 30, 1951, at Hyde Park Methodist Church in Cincinnati after meeting at Miami University. They also have a son, Derf Soller of Grand Junction, Colo., and three grandsons.

Dr. Soller is a dentist who retired in 2006. He is a World War II Navy veteran, a 30-year member of Mahoning County Board of Education, and a member of Corydon Palmer Dental Society, Boardman Rotary and 4 Square Club.

Mrs. Soller is an artist and public speaker, and for 50 years has been involved on stage, backstage and in the board room at the Youngstown Playhouse. She is a member of the Butler Institute of American Art, Friends of American Art and Mahoning Valley Watercolor Society.

The couple belong to Trinity United Methodist Church, downtown Youngstown.
