MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance. Transportation is available for those 60 or older; call 330-884-2511 to set up. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Aug. 10: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, mandarin oranges, wheat bread with margarine, and milk.

Thursday, Aug. 11: Beef steak patty , baked potato, peas, unsweetened pears, oatmeal bread with margarine, graham or sugar-free cookie and milk.

Friday, Aug. 12: Macaroni and cheese, french green beans, carrots, fruit cocktail, bread with margarine, fig bar or sugar-free cookie and milk.

Saturday, Aug. 13: Chicken breast, tossed salad, three-bean salad, fresh orange, bun with margarine, cloud cake or sugar-free cookie and milk.

Monday, Aug. 15: Veal patty, sweet potatoes, spinach, unsweetened fruit, fresh grapes, bun with margarine, and milk.

Tuesday, Aug. 16: Pork riblet, brussels sprouts, pineapple tidbits, romaine salad, Diamond Jim bun with margarine, cupcake or angel food cake and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.

Wednesday, Aug. 10: Tuna salad, three-bean salad, tossed salad with French dressing, wheat bread with margarine, diced peaches and milk.

Thursday, Aug. 11: Chicken breast patty on a bun with mayonnaise, green beans, cauliflower, orange and milk.

Friday, Aug. 12: Beef stew, rice, yellow beans, corn muffin, pears and milk.

Monday, Aug. 15: Stuffed pepper with sauce, mashed potatoes, Corn O’Brien, wheat bread with margarine, fruit mix and milk.

Tuesday, Aug. 16: Barbecue riblet, scalloped potatoes, spinach with vinegar, Diamond Jim Bun with margarine, golden apple and milk.
