Todd Bury, president of Poland-based Bury Financial Group, and Brian Laraway, MBA and partner, recently completed SagePoint Financial’s 2011 National Education Conference. The NEC is an education and training meeting that provides independent financial advisers access to intensive learning curriculums. Bury Financial Group offers investments, investment advisory, education funding and retirement planning.

Raquel Pacheco of Merrill Lynch’s Canfield office recently earned the certified financial planner certification. The designation, awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, allows Pacheco to use the CFP mark as an educational credential. It is awarded to individuals who meet rigorous education, examination, experience, ethics and other standards set by the CFP board. Pacheco is a graduate of Youngstown State University and has been with Merrill Lynch since 2007.

Diane Theis of Boardman, an independent distributor for Premier Designs jewelry, was recently recognized at Premier Designs’ National Rally in Dallas. She was recognized for her promotion to One Diamond Designer and for five years of service. Theis is in an elite leadership group of only 2 percent of 40,000 distributors.

JaneCo’s Sensible Solutions, of West Middlesex, Pa., a primary provider of professional r sum s, cover letters, business correspondence and career coaching services, recently announced it has been invited to submit cover letters for inclusion in a new book titled Gallery of Best Cover Letters 4th Edition. The nationally recognized author, David Noble, Ph.D., asked JaneCo owner Jane Roqueplot to submit sample cover letters for various professions. It’s the 29th time JaneCo has submitted work for a cover letter or r sum book.

Warren-based OSS, Inc. recently announced collaboration with Optima Management Group LLC to provide security services for the Penton Media Building in Cleveland. OSS provides contracted, round-the-clock security guards in Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania.
