DAYTON, Ohio

Data from Ohio’s higher education board shows enrollment has more than tripled over the past decade at regional campuses and community colleges as more students attend locations away from residential campuses.

The Dayton Daily News reports data from the Ohio Board of Regents shows regional campuses and community colleges had 252,000 students last year. That’s up from 74,000 a decade earlier.

In the Mahoning Valley, enrollment has increased at Kent State University’s regional campuses and at Eastern Gateway Community College.
