‘Tour de LaMec’ next Sunday

NEW CASTLE, Pa.

Cyclists are invited to take part in the Lawrence County Cycling Club’s “Tour de LaMec” starting at 7:30 a.m. next Sunday.

The annual event is a scenic ride on lightly traveled roads in Lawrence and Mercer counties. All rides begin at Marti Park at 669 Wilson Mill Road, New Wilmington, where drinks, snacks and hot foods will be supplied for all riders. Participants also will be provided with a T-shirt.

Ride lengths range from 15 to 100 miles, and riders will be sag-supported until 4 p.m. Sag supports are motor vehicles that follow bicyclists and pick up those unable to finish.

Registration is $20 per person. For a registration form, go to the club’s website at LCCConline.com and click on “events” for a form to be downloaded.
