Jason A. Flowers, 28, of Ferndale Avenue Southwest was in stable condition Friday at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, after being shot in the face at a house on second Street Southwest.
Police were called to the residence at 5:45 a.m. Thursday by a woman who said an unidentified person was inside her house. Police found Flowers, but whoever shot him was gone, police said.
Police have not interviewed Flowers yet and have not made any arrests, police said.
It was one of several shootings and gun-related incidents that occurred in the city this week.

A woman living at 2326 Niles Road S.E., which is near Milton Street, also reported less than an hour later that her house and a car parked there were hit by gunfire.
About 3 a.m. Thursday, a 15-year-old Southwest-Warren boy was treated at St. Joseph Health Center for a gunshot wound to the leg.
The boy said he was walking on Jefferson Street Southwest when a blue vehicle pulled up with three males in it, and one of them shot him.
At 3:26 a.m. Sunday, Leon D. Calbert Jr., 18, of Milton Street reported being hit in the neck by gunfire while dancing at the Glass House Bar, 2880 West Market Street.
Calbert said he saw a fight, then heard two gunshots and fell to the floor bleeding from his neck. A woman drove him to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital, and he was later transferred to St. Elizabeth Health Center.
St. Elizabeth said Friday it had no record of Calbert.
