Police investigating double homicide on the North Side

YOUNGSTOWN — City police are investigating a double homicide that occurred early this morning at a home on Wirt Street.

Police were called about 3:45 a.m. on a report of gunfire at a house on Wirt on the city’s North Side. When they arrived, they found Oscar Teague, 56, of the house, shot in the back and Jasmon Reeder, 19 of Superior Street, shot in the head.

Reeder was pronounced dead at the scene, and Teague died later at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call (330) 746-CLUE. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a monetary reward is the information provided leads to an arrest.
