June 23

Dogs running loose: Police cited Bridgid Cassin, 26, of 112 W. Main St. with dogs and other animals running at large. Her dog had to be quarantined for ten days after it bit another dog.

Theft: Police arrested Renee Wilson, 50, of 440 Fairground Blvd. for accepting a package shipped by UPS to the wrong address, opening it and using the laptop computer inside. The package had been mailed to a former resident of the address.

June 24

Theft: A resident of the 400 block of South Broad Street reported fraudulent charges had been made to his debit account for a total of $180.

July 6

Drug abuse: Police charged Joshua Lankford, 21, of Chestnut St., Leetonia, with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a pill bottle with marijuana in it and a smoke pipe, containing marijuana residue in his vehicle.

July 7

Warrant: Police arrested Dawn Paulin, 32, of 5064 State Route 170, East Palestine, and Melissa Mills, 27, of 4210 Benton, Salem, on Mayor’s Court warrants.

July 10

Domestic violence: Police charged Stephan Blanchard, 23, of 344 Melrose Drive, Boardman, with the crime after his arrest at a home in the 10 block of Brookpark Road.

Drug abuse: Police charged Kevin Pontius II, 27, of 3894 Indian Run Road, Canfield, with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse for possession of a vial with suspecte cocaine residue after his arrest at Broad Street and Fairground Boulevard.

July 11

Warrant: Police arrested Lindell Brown, 35, of 4046 Jefferson Court, Youngstown, on a Youngstown warrant.

July 12

False prescription: Randal McGraw, 41, of 440 Fairground Blvd., was arrested on charge of presenting a false prescription for Adderall at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St.

July 13

Telecommunications harassment: A Carriage Lane woman reported receiving telephone threats from a tenant of a property she owns.

Drug abuse: Police charged Jamar Martin, 29, of 1334 Dogwood, Youngstown with drug abuse and possession of dangerous drugs after police found two plastic bags of suspected crack cocaine and four prescription drug pills after his arrest at Boardman-Canfield Road and Fairground Boulevard.

July 15

Drug abuse: Kenneth Huber, 33, of 1455 Wilson Ave., Atwater, was arrested for drug abuse for possession of 2 grams of marijuana and a pipe bowl with marijuana residue in it.

July 19

Warrant: Melissa Mills, 27, of 410 Benton, Salem, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in Canfield Mayor’s Court.

July 22

Shoplifting: Stacy McFarland, 35, of 17-C Hunters Woods Blvd., was arrested and charged with shoplifting at Giant Eagle. She was seen walking through the store placing items into her purse and left without paying for the $43.74 in merchandise. She was also served with a criminal trespassing warning for the store.

July 23

Warrant: Andre Evans, 27, of 432 Catherine St., Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear at Canfield Mayor’s Court.

July 24

Drug paraphernalia: Timothy Wilhelm, 20, of 2417 Belleflower Drive., Alliance, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, a multi-colored bowl with marijuana residue.

Theft: Matthew Beiling, 25, of 4190 Bob-O-Link Drive, Boardman, was arrested for allegedly stealing a bag of ice after paying for two large bags at $4.79 each, and taking three at the BP gas station, 599 E.Main St.

July 27

Drug abuse: Donald Auman, 25, of 3947 Riley Ave., Struthers, was arrested on a charge of drug abuse for possession of 2 grams of marijuana. Also arrested on the same charge for possession of the same bag was Joseph Claycomb, 20, of 14 S. Pearl Road., Youngstown.

Telephone harassment: A resident of the 300 block of Overbrook Drive reported receiving a “significant” number of text messages from an acquaintance he no longer wanted contact with.

July 30

Warrant: DeeAnn Green, 49, of 909 Lincoln Ave., Niles was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a theft charge, which was confirmed by Massillon police, who picked up the suspect.
