The Manor at Autumn Hills assisted-living facility at 2567 Niles-Vienna Road celebrated the opening of its $1.5 million, 17-unit McKinley Suites with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday.

Martha Hassey of Campbell, the first resident of the 10,000-square-foot, ground-level Manor at Autumn Hills expansion, cut the ceremonial ribbon.

Each McKinley Suites apartment is equipped with a kitchenette, handicap-accessible bathroom, multiple closets, individually controlled heating and cooling units and emergency call systems, said Vickie Heller, corporate marketing director.

The McKinley addition offers open floor plans with half-wall dividers separating sleeping and living areas.

The unit also has a separate dining room and easy access to the multipurpose theater room, Heller said.

Services available include personal assistance with activities of daily living; health checks, assessments and medication management by nursing staff; a variety of social and activity programs and nutritious fine dining prepared by the center’s certified executive chef, she said.

The Autumn Hills Nursing Center opened in the late 1980s, and the Manor at Autumn Hills opened in 1998.

The Autumn Hills complex, purchased in 2008 by John DePizzo of Girard, is affiliated with Briarfield Health Care.
