Legislators introduce ‘Casey Anthony’ law

Two Ohio lawmakers have introduced legislation that would require parents to contact law enforcement when their children are missing — a direct response to the much-publicized murder case against Casey Anthony.

Senate Minority Leader Capri Cafaro, a Democrat from Liberty, and Sen. Frank LaRose, formally offered Senate Bill 203 Thursday.

The legislation is titled “Caylee’s Law,” in memory of the 2-year-old girl whose body was found months after her disappearance in Florida.
