Credit counseling workshop for women

The YWCA of Youngstown, in partnership with Apprisen Financial Advocates, will present a free, informational credit counseling workshop for women from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave.

Topics to be covered include the importance of managing credit in today’s new world of credit, how to get your free credit report, what impacts a credit score, what you can do to try to improve your credit report and what to do if there is a mistake on the report.

Featured speaker will be Victor Russell of Apprisen.

The workshop is part of the Workforce Development Project of the YWCA, which aims to provide job readiness, employment and training services for women in the community.
