Brookfield cops probe shooting and stabbing; 2 men injured

Township police continue to investigate a Wednesday evening shooting and stabbing that put two men in the hospital, according to Vindicator news partner 21 WFMJ-TV.

The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. Wednesday on Syme Street in Masury, where police found a man with a gunshot in the street.

He was taken to Sharon Regional Hospital, and his name and condition were unknown Wednesday night.

Two suspects who were seen fleeing the scene were found later near Greenville, Pa., according to the news report. One of the suspects, who had been stabbed, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the other was taken into custody.
