Avoid U.S. Route 224 and Market Street in Boardman

BOARDMAN — The Ohio Department of Transportation has closed U.S. Route 224 at Market Street (state Route 7) because of a gas leak at the intersection.

Authorities hope to have the problem resolved in a few hours. In the meantime, motorists are being detoured to Westview Avenue to Stadium Drive to Market.

Motorists headed north on Market are being detoured to Southwoods Drive.

Township police are handlng traffic control.
