ABWA chapter seats new officers

The Tri-Gold Chapter of American Business Women’s Association installed officers for 2011-2012 during a July 13 meeting at A La Cart Catering.
The chapter meets the second Wednesday of each month and sponsors fundraising projects, including Christmas nut and candy sales and the annual silent auction in April.
Money raised goes to the chapter’s scholarship and education fund.
This year the chapter awarded scholarships to Cassandra Clyde, who will be a junior at Mercyherst College, and Deno Tufaro, who will be a sophomore at Slippery Rock University.
The chapter is working with the ABWA Network Council of the Mahoning Valley on the annual fall fashion show scheduled for Sept. 25 at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., and lunch will be served at 2. Cost is $25. For more information and tickets, call 330-270-9779.
