A new STEAM — Science Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math — school will open Aug. 22 in the former Immaculate Conception building on Oak Street. The school, which is run by Mosaica Education Inc., will be for students in kindergarten through fifth grades. Incorrect information was provided by the company for an A1 story headlined, “Charter school, Chaney to vie for city STEAM” that ran in the Monday edition of The Vindicator.

None of the money donated to the charitable fund for nonprofit groups focused on children and families in Youngstown was used to pay for Monday’s event.
