Three injured in I-680 accident

YOUNGSTOWN — Three people were hospitalized after a two-car accident on northbound I-680 at about 10:30 a.m. today.

Police on the scene said a woman was driving with an infant southbound near the state Route 711 ramp when she lost control of her red pickup truck, hit the median and flipped the car, hitting a vehicle headed northbound.

The woman, the baby and the woman driving the northbound vehicle were all taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.

Northbound I-680 traffic is being diverted to 711 at this hour.
