Car crash

BOARDMAN

A 23-year-old Canfield man will be in court today on charges of operating a vehicle while under the influence. Police said Michael Rose was the driver of a white vehicle that jumped the curb at the Shell Station on the corner of U.S. Route 224 and South Avenue about 11:15 p.m. Sunday. Onlookers at Taco Bell on U.S. Route 224 saw the crash, and two vehicles followed Rose’s car onto South Avenue and helped contain the vehicle, according to reports. Police said the results of a breath test showed Rose’s blood-alcohol content to be 0.17 — more than twice the state’s legal limit of 0.08.
