Juried art show at Playhouse

Submissions are being accepted for The Art Show, a juried exhibition sponsored by Art Youngstown and the Youngstown Playhouse.

Art will be on display at the Playhouse during the run of “Gypsy,” Sept. 9-18. A gala event to honor the artists will occur opening night, when Best in Show will be announced.

There is a submission fee of $25, good for up to five pieces. Entrants are asked to submit art that is an interpretation of drama or comedy. All media are acceptable.

Submissions must be delivered to the Playhouse between Aug. 29 and Sept. 3. Best in Show will receive $100. Twenty percent of all sales will benefit the Playhouse. Juror is Jim Lepore, art professor at YSU.
