Boardman levy has early lead from absentee ballots

YOUNGSTOWN — Absentee ballots show the Boardman police levy with an early lead. The vote total shows the levy passing 68 percent to 32 percent. The polls closed at 7:30 p.m.

The levy is 3.85 mills for five years, and tax revenue generated would be used to hire more police officers.
