Rosati homers twice as WR sweeps Sebring

John Rosati had two hits, including a home run, and six RBIs to lead Western Reserve over Sebring, 10-5, in an ITCL baseball game on Friday. Cole Smith also homered for Western Reserve, while John Gora doubled and Tommy Marlowe singled twice. Rosati also pitched five inning, striking out six, to earn the win. Josh Hurford, Dakota Wagner and Cory Baia hit home runs for Sebring. Baia also had a double.

In a second game, Western Reserve defeated Sebring 11-1. Rosati homered again, while Cory Zimmerman and Adam Smith hit doubles. Parker Warren and Gora each had three hits while Adam Smith went 5 for 5 with two doubles and three RBIs.

Lakeview 6, Hubbard 3

CORTLAND

The Bulldogs scored a pair of runs in the second, fourth and sixth innings. Daren Hamilton doubled and had three runs batted in for the winners. Teammate Darrel Brammer had two RBIs.

Springfield 6, East Palestine 3

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Mike Semach (1-0) got his first win of the season, and helped his own case with a double. Nick Russel had a pair of singles and scored twice, while Brad Ferraro had a pair of hits and three RBIs for the winners.

McDonald 12, Jackson-Milton 1

NORTH JACKSON

The Blue Devils pounded out 14 hits in five innings for the victory. Jackson-Milton had just one single.

Girard 14, LaBrae 1

LEAVITTSBURG

Bobby Klein had two hits and a pair of RBIs, Ryan Forte had three hits and two RBIs and Jim Melfi had two hits and drove in two. Melfi (3-1) earned the victory.

South Range 10, Lisbon 6

Tommy DeIullo had two singles and two RBIs to lead the Raiders in an ITCL game. Gerrard Rohan was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts in four innings, and he drove in three runs. Zack Thorpe added two RBIs for the Raiders (8-7, 4-4), while Cory Deal hit a double. Jacob Borg singled twice for Lisbon, while Zac Barnes hit a triple and Jagr Grovbert a double. Danny Reese had two RBIs.

Mooney 11, Ursuline 1

YOUNGSTOWN

Six Cardinals hit eight doubles against their arch rivals from across town. Dan Dandrea and Frank Rondinelli each had a pair, and Nick Buffa, Drew Delsignore, Kevin Boris and Boo Vasquez each had one. Vasquez also had a triple.
